VETPARTNERS colleagues joined thousands of participants at this year’s York Pride parade, in a vibrant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and a show of support for equality, diversity and inclusion.
We were proud to be one of the sponsors of the annual event, which took place on Saturday 30th May and is recognised as North Yorkshire’s largest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. The event also aims to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ rights and promote inclusivity across the region.
A team of colleagues from VetPartners’ central support office in Clifton Moor, York, took part in the colourful parade. The march began on Parliament Street in York and made its way through York city centre before finishing at the festival site on the Knavesmire.
At the festival site, VetPartners had a trailer with games and prizes, along with an opportunity for people visiting the stand to design a free tote bag with a suggested donation to Vetlife, our chosen charity for 2026 which supports members of the veterinary community.
VetPartners, which has more than 13,000 colleagues working across veterinary practices and animal healthcare businesses in the UK and Europe, is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and supportive culture for all team members.
VetPartners Managing Director Tim Shearman, who joined colleagues on the stand, said: “York Pride is an important celebration of equality, visibility and community, and we were delighted to support this year’s event. At VetPartners, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to be themselves.
“York Pride, it gets bigger, better and more colourful every year and it’s always a great opportunity for us to be involved.”
