The North East has a rich history, and is home to Northumberland and the heritage sites Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral.

The region also contains the Cheviot Hills, which reach the highest point of the region, and a naturally beautiful coastline including Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle and Northumberland National Park.
The area is close to the major cities of Newcastle and Edinburgh, and is also easily accessible from Leeds, Manchester and London by car and train.
