A NEW state-of-the-art veterinary practice to set to open in Hartlepool to provide the best possible care of pets.
Clifton Lodge Vets has outgrown its longstanding site on Stockton Road, which first opened in 1950, and will begin welcoming both existing and new clients to its impressive new home at Sovereign Park on Brenda Road from April 30th.
Designed to deliver the very highest standards of veterinary care, the new practice features five consultation rooms, three operating theatres and a dedicated intensive care unit for critically ill pets. The purpose-built facility also includes separate cattery and kennel areas, a diagnostic imaging and X-ray suite, a preparation area, isolation unit, dental suite and a private bereavement room to support clients during difficult times.
The practice will also boast a CT scanner, a sophisticated diagnostic tool that provides detailed, three-dimensional images of a pet’s internal tissue and organs. This technology allows diagnosing conditions that cannot be easily diagnosed with conventional imaging, such as X-rays or ultrasound.
The move marks a significant step forward for the practice, offering a spacious, modern environment with onsite parking to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for clients, while enabling the team to provide exceptional care and treatment for patients.
The 20,000 square foot site, formerly home to a spa and whirlpool manufacturer, has been extensively transformed. It will also feature offices on the upper floor, along with a dedicated rest area for vets, nurses and reception staff.
Investment from VetPartners
The development has been made possible through investment from VetPartners.
Clients will be offered a unique glimpse behind the scenes during an open day at the new practice on April 26th.
Clifton Lodge Vets Practice Manager Donna Wren, who has overseen the project from start to finish, said the new facility will allow the team to significantly increase the number of appointments and operations they can provide.
Donna, pictured left, putting the finishing touches onto a sign, said: “A tremendous amount of hard work has gone into creating this fantastic new facility and the whole team is incredibly excited about the move.
“As vets and veterinary nurses, our priority is to deliver the very highest standards of care and treatment for our patients, alongside an excellent service for their owners. This new hospital gives us the space, facilities and flexibility to do exactly that.
“With additional consult rooms and multiple theatres, we’ll be able to have more vets consulting at the same time while also carrying out more procedures.
“Importantly, the size of the building also gives us the capacity to expand further in the future and continue developing the range of services we offer.”
Now a huge logistical operation is underway to move some of the existing equipment to the new site, while also installing new high-tech equipment.
Clifton Lodge employs 12 vets across all four of its sites and has 9,885 active clients from Durham and Teesside.
