VETPARTNERS hosted a visit from York Outer MP Luke Charters so he could hear for himself about the care and dedication of the veterinary profession.
Luke met VetPartners CEO and founder Jo Malone, who established the vet-led group in 2015, and Group Director of Culture and People Tim Shearman, at our central support office at Spitfire House, Clifton Moor.
Since being established with three veterinary practices, including Minster Vets in York where Jo was a vet and where Woody is a patient, VetPartners now has practices and associated animal healthcare businesses all over the UK and Europe, with more than 13,000 employees.
Luke was given an insight into the growth of VetPartners as well as the care and dedication of the veterinary profession on his visit on Friday.
He said: “Pets really are part of the family. Our dog Woody and our two cats, Pretzel and Basil, bring so much joy – and chaos – to our home, and I know how much we rely on the people who care for them.
“It was fantastic to visit VetPartners for their 10-year anniversary and meet with Jo Malone and the dedicated people in their central team who support practice teams looking after animals with such kindness. As a local employer, the work they do makes a real difference to families every single day, and I was delighted to celebrate this significant milestone with them.”
As well as celebrating its 10th anniversary on October 31st, VetPartners has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year at the York Press/LOCALiQ Business Awards, while Jo has been shortlisted for Business Personality of the Year. The winners are announced on November 27th.
