About us:
Damory Veterinary Clinic is an RCVS accredited practice, established for nearly a century, with fully equipped premises allowing you to provide the best standards of care.
Our fantastic skilled team comprises of 11 RVNs (3 part time), 2 students, 2 ANAs and a team of 9 SA vets. We enjoy team activities and pull an activity out of a hat to do every few months.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in clinical procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills and a genuine love for animals, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing during their time at the clinic.
In this full-time role you will be working 2 weeknights and 2 split weekends in an 11-week rota, with TOIL incorporated, ensuring high standards of care for our patients whilst giving you the opportunity to use your skills and initiative on emergency cases.

Duties:
- Assist veterinary surgeons during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies for diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinary surgeon
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals pre- and post-surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Provide support to pet owners by explaining treatment plans and answering questions
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic, including sterilisation of instruments
- Participate in the training of student veterinary nurses as required
Qualifications/skills
- RCVS registered
- Strong laboratory skills, including familiarity with diagnostic testing procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
