Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, full-time and part-time vacancies

 

Our state-of-the-art flagship practice is located in the Royal Burgh of Lanark; a bustling market town located in the beautiful lower Clyde Valley.  We have recently achieved Investors in the Environment Silver Level Award, currently progressing towards the highest level ‘Green’ award.   We are also a 2-star ‘Best Companies’ organisation following a recent colleague survey.

 

An opportunity has arisen to join a superbly well-equipped and expanding practice as a full or part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. Our caseload and support structure means we can support vets at all stages of their career.

 

Key Information:

  • Very supportive practice and colleagues
  • Well-equipped and modern practice with laser therapy, video endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray,
  • 15-minute consults
  • Full-time – 5-day week, or part-time
  • Flexible working supported
  • 24-7 nursing cover
  • 1 in 11 weeks on-call
  • Must be comfortable working sole charge when on-call and have a friendly and proactive attitude
  • Support structure in place for less experienced colleagues on-call
  • £1,750 CPD allowance and 5 days paid CPD leave – more if a certificate holder
  • RCVS & VDS fees paid, plus membership of one other society of your choice, e.g. BSAVA
  • Experienced 14-Vet team with varied interests

Our ideal candidate will fit in with the established large and friendly team, enjoy clinical discussions, dealing with a wide variety of cases, and generally getting stuck in. Services offered include laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, and dental X-ray.

 

The right person for this job will have good experience in practice and be comfortable with a variety of surgical procedures and being on-call on a fair rota basis.
