Transitioning to regenerative agriculture – a farmer’s first hand experience

In the sixth episode of Vetspective for Farmers, hosts Ami Sawran and Claire Whittle are joined by Clare Hill, regenerative agriculture director at FAI. The trio discuss regenerative agriculture, a topic that often provokes strong opinions and passionate debate among those in the industry.

Clare’s role at FAI sees her spending fifty percent of her time managing the 1,200-acre farm, which is farmed regeneratively. The other part of her role involves working with food businesses, government, and influencers in the food industry to improve sustainability of food systems at land and sea.

She talks open and honestly about the farm’s transition to regenerative agriculture, in particular the introduction of the Adaptive Multi-Paddock (AMP) grazing system, as well as the mental wellbeing aspect of farming in this way and shares her experiences as a woman working in agriculture.
