Following a major redevelopment of our well-established practice, Wood Veterinary Group are looking to expand their clinical team and are seeking a motivated Small Animal Hospital Vet to join our progressive, well-equipped, hospital.

Based in Gloucestershire we are centrally placed with excellent transport links and sit right on the edge of the Cotswolds with outstanding natural countryside and amenities right on the doorstep.

We are a large, RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic with an expanding dedicated team of 20 Vets. We operate from a recently refurbished main hospital which boasts all of the usual toys plus state-of-the-art facilities including 4 theatres, CT, Laparoscopic equipment, dental suite with x-ray, plus much more! We also have dedicated Laboratory technicians providing advanced diagnostics and the support of a team of Vets and nurses with wide ranging clinical interests (including various certificate holders). We also have an on-site dedicated OOH team of vets and nurses to continue hospital based care overnight.

As part of a hospital team further qualifications and certificates are encouraged and supported. Whether your interests lie in Medicine, Emergency Care, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging or something else entirely our existing certificate holders and friendly team are here to support and encourage alongside the broader support of the practice.

From an interpersonal team perspective we hold regular events, including a summer social and Christmas party plus planned and ad hoc events in between. For the last 3 years we have had the pleasure of engaging a visiting pancake chef on Shrove Tuesday, we enjoy informal sweets and treats and have engaged in golf driving range excursions, bowling and darts; there really is something for everyone!

We are open to both full and part time applicants, as well as applications of all experience levels. Flexible working opportunities considered for the right candidate.

Whether you are strongly interested or merely curious we would love to meet you and show you around!
