Here at Eastgate Veterinary Group on the border of Norfolk and stunning Suffolk, we are looking for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join our talented team across our RCVS accredited branches.
At Bury St Edmunds, we have a team of 4 Vets and 5 Nurses, with our practice at Thetford consisting of 3 Vets and 4 Nurses, and our practice at Mildenhall, also with 3 Vets and 4 Nurses. We actively encourage further development and work towards certificates within our team. All the practices have very proactive and friendly support teams.
All our branches have plenty for you to explore nearby in your downtime, including the beauty of meandering around Thetford Priory, the theatres on show at Bury St. Edmunds, and the museums and river walks on offer at Mildenhall. Being close to the coast, there is also plenty of opportunity to take a stroll by the sea – or, for the city lovers among you, Cambridge and Norwich are nearby for fun days (or nights!) out. As well as being in a beautiful location, you’re also only a 2-hour drive from London, and about an hour to Norwich and Cambridge, giving you a whole bunch of places to explore.

We’re open to an experienced Vet, but we would also be happy to support a less experienced candidate who wants to build up their confidence in surgery, as this will be key to the role. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that are always striving to provide the best care for our patients and to share our knowledge with each other.
Our full-time vets work a 4-day week, covering 36 hours. However, we are amenable to part-time and flexible working, for the right candidate. We are also more than happy to consider consult-only, if preferred.
